After 8.1 Pro install I have no sound device or recording device detected & no sound.
Under Device manager there is a ? on the Coprocessor which I believe is what controls the sound.
There is no other audio or sound device anywhere in device manager.
I have been through several nvidea & HP drivers, tried compatibility mode for Vista etc.
The motherboard is quanta 30CF
Chipset Nvidea nforce 560
Graphics Nvidea GeForce 7150M/nforce630m
I have had several driver problems with other pc's in the past and could figure them out but not this one.
I've been without sound for 2 weeks now and refuse to run Vista.
Please help, Thank you.
HIFI-CABLE driver is a virtual audio device appearing in the audio device list with a Gold Cinch Connector icon. HIFI CABLE is working like VB-CABLE except it needs to be configured with the same samplerate on its Input and Its output. HI-FI Cable is bit perfect and supports up to 24 bits 384 kHz audio stream. I plug the HDMI from my laptop to TV and before update to 8.1 it worked fine. Now I get video but no audio. Device Manager shows two things under 'Sound, Video and game controllers' 1. High Definition Audio Devide (with yellow triangle) 2. IDT High Definition Audio CODEC When I see the proper.
